Objective: I enjoy being exposed to different aspects of Solar Physics. Solar Physics intrigues me and for a thirsty wanderer like me it serves as river of knowledge. Summary of qualifications: PhD - ongoing (finishing - Oct 2016) - Funded by Armagh Observatory. Master of Space Science and Engineering, University College London (2012) M as ter o f P h y s ics w ith Electr o n ics an d M icr o p r o ces s o r an d M icr o co n tr o ller programming, University of Mumbai (2010) Graduation in Physics, University of Mumbai (2008) Research Projects during PhD - Supervised by Prof. John Gerald Doyle: Ellerman bombs - These are small scale eruptions on the small with energies of 10^20 ergs/cm^2. We study small scale structures which may or may not be classified as Ellerman bombs. Spicules - Spicules are small scale hair-like eruptions on the Sun. The project involved analysis of apparent ultra-fast spicules and interpreting their signatures. We found conclusive evidence that these spicules are flux tubes moving across different laters of atmosphere. We also study various wave signatures associated with the structures. EUV-wave - We describe a observations of coronal wave and an asymmetric er uptive filament using multiple instr uments SUMER, CDS, EIT, and TRACE co-obser vations. Past research projects : Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, India: (Jan 2013-Mar 2013): "Hemispheric Asymmetries in Active Region fluxes - We compared evolution of active region fluxes in both hemispheres of the Sun and explained the outcome using a flux transport dynamo model. The project was with Prof. Durgesh Tripathi, IUCAA and Dr. Mausumi Dikpati, UCAR. MSc Space Science and Engineering (UCL): (Jan 2012 July 2012) " Finding the Cause of Unusually deep Solar Minimum"- We track Active region evolutions on the Sun and calculate CMEs occurring throughout the minimum of Solar cycle 23. MSc Physics (University of Mumbai): (2008-2010) First Year Project: This project involved having a basic counter circuit and the ICs were compared with the same available environmental conditions (room temperature, the same RC components, and same input), the output was observed on CRO as well as a seven-segment display (SSD). Second Year Project: Construction of 3-D LED structure representing lattice structures of Atoms using a LED CUBE, PIC IC (16f877), a LCD display, and KEYBOARD.
