New ways of analytic and numerical investigation have been suggested. In particular:

Solutions of several absolute tasks of the scattering theory have been obtained (on the optical depth of the ionospheric plasma layer, on the value of radio wave anomalous attenuation, on anomalous refraction, on the backscattered signal intensity for the source being placed within a plasma layer).

Adequate qualitative and quantitative explanation to several experimentally observed effects has been given for the first time:

The method of natural ionospheric small-scale irregularity spatial spectrum diagnostics using vertical sounding signal anomalous attenuation data has been worked out and for the first time realized jointly with IZMIRAN team. Modification of this method for plasma fusion microturbulence diagnostics has been suggested.

The method of artificial ionospheric turbulence spatial spectrum diagnostics using vertical sounding probe signal anomalous attenuation data has been worked out and for the first time realized jointly with NIRFI team.

The global monitoring method of the ionospheric small-scale irregularity level from the backscattered z-mode signal intensity data when sounding from a satellite has been worked out and for the first time realized jointly with IZMIRAN and NASA/GSFC collaborators.

The method of small-scale ionospheric irregularity diagnostics based on measurements of the vertical sounding signal phase structure function has been worked out and implemented jointly with J. W. Wright (NGDC/NOAA).

The method of the ionospheric mid-scale irregularity parameters diagnostics using vertical and obliquie radio sounding signal polarization distortions data has been suggested.

It has been shown that the ionospheric plasma layer optical depth value can be much larger than unit. The method of calculation has been worked out and estimates have been made for the multiple scattering effects under the ionospheric radio propagation. It has been shown that multi-beam interference caused by distorting effect of electron density mid-scale irregularities determines many parameters of the ionosphere vertical sounding signals. The polarization distortion statistical characteristics of the ionosphere vertical and obliquie sounding signals have been investigated. The techniquie of statistical numerical modeling has been worked out which allows one to reproduce the characteristics of modern research ionosonde signals. The peculiarities of z-mode signal propagation in the upper ionosphere have been studied. The contributions of two mechanisms of the ordinary wave anomalous attenuation - multiple scattering and transformation into plasma waves - were compared for different ionospheric conditions.

On the base of statistical processing of the "Kosmos-1809" satellite radio sounding data the model of global distribution of the topside ionosphere small-scale irregularity level has been constructed for winter and summer seasons.

The numerical modeling of the ionosphere mid-scale irregularity modulating impact on the decameter background electromagnetic radiation has been made and the hypothesis has been put forward that this electromagnetic mechanism is a competing one with known mechanism of the geomagnetic variation negative infuence on biological objects or human being.

Essential results on this direction were obtained in 1978-1985, jointly with Pavel D.Naselsky, under his scientific supervision.

The first results concerning the primordial black hole mass spectrum in the early Universe different models have been obtained. The potential density distortion evolution in the Universe with "hidden mass" have been investigated. The first reliable estimates of the relic electromagnetic radiation angular variations in the Universe with different types of "hidden mass" carriers have been obtained.

These works in 1984 were prized by the regional Young Scientists Award.
