Using Keystrokes
Summary:
The following convenience keys have been defined in the SAOtng
image window (NB: "Ctrl-[letter]" means to press the Control key and
the specified letter key at the same time):
Ctrl-[a]
Display the raw pixels values in a 9x9 array centered on the mouse.
Ctrl-[b]
Display the previous frame ("back frame").
Ctrl-[c]
Display the current coordinates centered on the mouse.
Ctrl-[i]
Idle the cursor (change cursor to idle).
Ctrl-[f]
Display the next frame ("forward frame").
Ctrl-[t]
Create text cursor (pop up dialog for text string).
Ctrl-[u]
Unselect the currently selected point.
Ctrl-[x]
Select the current point.
Shift-[c]
Toggle display of coordinates.
Shift-[m]
Toggle display of magnifier.
Shift-[p]
Toggle display of panner.
Shift-[x]
Select current point on the image and redisplay centered on that point.
Left-Arrow or Shift Left-Arrow
Move the mouse 1 pixel to the left. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the mouse is moved 5 pixels.
Right-Arrow or Shift Right-Arrow
Move the mouse 1 pixel to the right. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the mouse is moved 5 pixels.
Up-Arrow or Shift Up-Arrow
Move the mouse 1 pixel up. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the mouse is moved 5 pixels.
Down-Arrow or Shift Down-Arrow
Move the mouse 1 pixel down. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the mouse is moved 5 pixels.
In addition, the following keyboard actions are available within a region marker:
i or +
define the marker to be an include region.
e or -
define the marker to be an exclude region.
s
define the marker to be a source region.
b
define the marker to be a background region.
r,l
raise and lower markers. This is useful when dealing with concentric
markers and you want to set the focus for a give marker. These keys will
cycle through the concentric markers, changing the focus from one to another.
[delete Key]
delete the current marker.
Left-Arrow or Shift Left-Arrow
Move the marker 1 pixel to the left. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the marker is moved 5 pixels.
Right-Arrow or Shift Right-Arrow
Move the marker 1 pixel to the right. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the marker is moved 5 pixels.
Up-Arrow or Shift Up-Arrow
Move the marker 1 pixel up. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the marker is moved 5 pixels.
Down-Arrow or Shift Down-Arrow
Move the marker 1 pixel down. If the Shift key also is
pressed, the marker is moved 5 pixels.
