Born in 1946 in Leningrad.

Graduated from Moscow State University in 1970 and till now in permanent staff of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Moscow State University. Present position: Head of the Radio Astronomy Department.

In 1974 received the Degree of Candidate of Sci. (Physics and Mathematics) (PhD-equivalent) from the Sternberg Astronomical Institute. In 2010 defended his doctoral thesis (Dr. Sc. Phys. & Math.)

Molecular Masers
Interstellar Medium
Circumstellar Shells
Long-Period Variable Stars
